Collective at Market Square, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan

Collective at Market Sq is a wonderful art and craft gallery situated in the Market House built in 1861 by the Bath Estate. We opened in Oct 2018. The Carrickmacross Lace gallery is also housed in the same building. Catherina is the curator at Collective and has worked in the art and craft business for over twenty years. All products are hand made in Ireland with an astonishingly 90% of the art and crafts being made in County Monaghan.

The range of products vary from oil paintings, etchings, prints, stained glass, textiles, hand-weaving, batik, knitting, jewellery, woodturning, furniture, baskets, fashion and millinery. And some of our best sellers are Grace Brennan from King’s Forge outside Castleblayney and Louise Loughman Silk Artist from Swallow Studios, Annyalla Castleblayney.

There is a tour bus stop directly in front of the Market House for convenience, the gallery is also located beside two award winning restaurants and the Shirley Arms hotel. There are quite a few places of interest locally for example the Carrickmacross Workhouse, the Patrick Kavanagh Centre and Brehon Brew House to name only a few. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries regards Catherina Donaghy.
